eBay has become famous for its online auctions. We’ve seen a fair few unusual items for sale over the years. It’s not just for clearing out your garage.
In fact, in celebration of National Curry Week, an Indian restaurant from Milton Keynes is auctioning a curry. Well, to be precise, they are offering the winning bidder the choice of a romantic dinner for two, or dinner for a party of up to six people – all cooked by their head chef.
What makes this listing all the more interesting is the fact that the winner can choose their own location for their meal. The Calcutta Brasserie is offering to provide a marquee with the 3 course meal complete, a personal waiter and a bottle of champagne.
The Calcutta Brasserie in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes is running the auction until Sunday October 14th. They will be donating the money to Curry Tree Charitable Fund, a charity which helps fight poverty in developing nations.
We think this is a lovely idea. Some of the more unusual eBay auctions are bizarre and downright weird in some cases. Nevertheless, auctioning a luxury Indian meal and donating the money to charity is a definite winner in our opinion.
